The sunrise reminds us — no matter how dark the night felt, a new day always breaks. When our girls walk into that light together, they experience something visceral: I can begin again. I can choose myself. I can glow.
Every dollar raised funds mentorship, curriculum, camps, and scholarships — so more girls know their worth long before the world tries to tell them otherwise.

A meaningful route
A 5K loop through Birmingham timed to end just as the sun breaks the horizon.
Family-friendly
Walk, jog, or run. Strollers welcome. Mentors alongside every step.
Live music at the finish
A morning celebration with music, breakfast, and a mentor blessing over each girl.
A moment of stillness
Right before we step off — a group silence to feel gratitude for the girl we're becoming.

When is the Sunrise 5K?
Registration opens in early 2026 for our inaugural event. Join the notify list to be the first to know.
Do I have to run?
Absolutely not. Walk, jog, run, roll — every pace is celebrated. This is not a race, it's a movement.
Can girls under 13 participate?
Yes! Girls of any age can join with a parent or guardian. Strollers are welcome.
What's included with registration?
A Sunrise 5K shirt, glow accessories, a finisher medal, water stations, breakfast at the finish, and a mentor blessing.
Is there a virtual option?
Yes — a virtual walk option will be available for supporters outside Birmingham.
